Earlier this month, I had my bridal shower!
My family did an amazing job putting together a beautiful day. I wanted to share some photos, savings tips, & where to get decorations for creating the perfect bridal shower!
The shower was hosted at Incswell in my hometown, Marietta, OH. We had booked this months ago & at the same time, I booked it for my rehearsal dinner + for our wedding day for my bridal party to get ready - and we got a great deal for booking this spot for three different events!
I loved the tall ceiling, exposed brick, and floor length windows for lighting & think it will be a cozy spot for the rehearsal dinner & will also have great lighting for our wedding day getting ready photos.
My dad built the frame for this photo backdrop & my sister found the floral background on Amazon. Here is a similar one (for less than $50). This was so much fun to use to take photos. We didn’t hire a photo booth for the wedding so I think I’ll order some photo props from Amazon (currently looking at these and these) & bring this one to use again - this would have been more expensive to rent & now we get to use it twice!
My mom got these gold/clear vases for around $6 each at Walmart & I thought they were so pretty - will probably use again for our rehearsal dinner!
I got my dress at my favorite consignment shop, Second Chance, for $18! (also got my turquoise bracelet there a while ago). And my sister got this cute fur chair at Big Lots!
OK, now for the best part - food + treats!
My sister & I went to Pat Catan’s closing sale a few days before the bridal shower & found these donut stands for 80% off ($4 for 4) - I wish I had bought a bunch to give out to friends because they were so cheap! Napkins from T.J. Maxx & donuts from my favorite hometown bakery, McHappy’s Bake Shoppe.
Treats included chocolate & vanilla donuts & strawberry & vanilla frosted sprinkle donuts from McHappy’s Bake Shoppe, strawberry, banana cream pudding, and vanilla raspberry-filled cupcakes from Lisa’s Sweet Stop, and themed cookies from a local baker! Gold tier-tray is from Hobby Lobby & rose-gold ferris wheel cupcake holder is from T.J. Maxx.
My sister’s friend is a chef & provided the catering. We had pulled pork & cheeseburger sliders, truffle mac & cheese, pita & spinach & artichoke dip, and fruit!
Here are some additional photos of the day!
Gold hoop wreathe decor is from Hobby Lobby and gold picture frame is from Dollar Tree.
Thank you to all my friends & family who attended & celebrated with us - it was the best day!
